recent與recently的詞性分別為形容詞和副詞，含義為“近來；最近，近日，不久前”，相對應的“近來”的含義對應著現在完成（進行）時態；當然“不久前、最近”對應于過去（進行）時態；until recently的含義是“直到不久前，不久前”等。
